Mise-en-scene blog tasks Create a blogpost called 'Mise-en-scene blog tasks' on your  Media 2 Coursework blog  and complete the following tasks from your Film and TV Language booklet: 1) Find a distinctive  still image  and write an analysis of the mise-en-scene. Use each of the aspects you've learned in the lesson. Costume - the guy is wearing a suit, which shows he may be rich and sophisticated as it makes him look well presented and smart for work. Props - he is holding a file, which shows that he is currently at work and has a lot of cases to deal with as a busy man. There is also a speaker and tennis balls placed behind him, showing that he likes sports and music and is also a fun guy. Actor placement- his body language shows him sitting up straight but leaned against a countertop, which puts him in a position of power. They girls wear sophisticated outfits to show that they are living their successful lives in the upper class world and to emphasise their class. There is also non-diegetic sound playing in the background, which creates tension and adds to the drama in the scene. The facial expressions of the girls reveal the personalities of each of the girls, which can also be seen by their behaviour in the scene.

Mise-en-scene recreation - full task list: Create a blogpost called 'Mise-en-scene recreation planning' and complete the following tasks: 1) Get into groups of up to four. Note: although the planning and filming can be done as a group, all students  MUST  edit their  OWN  version of the chosen scene. Make a note of who you are working with.
