- brighter colour scheme- childish mood- could suggest comedy genre

-"award winning thriller" 

-low angle shot could connote power for the protagonist (a child)

-colour scheme is mostly blue so it could suggest the target audience is male and as it reinforces the traditional stereotypes of blue being a masculine colour.

-Ensemble cast- star power is used with the famous actors Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley

-mystery and action/adventure genre shown by props used such as a pirate hat and the image of a ship which could have been used for treasure hunting.

-enigma codes as people may be curious as to what the treasure might be or what they are hunting down since it's an action/adventure film

-target audience could be teenagers and young adults as it may be too scary for children but is adventurous for teens

-colour scheme includes reds browns and greens and more neutral colour which could connote power, resilience but also ancient time periods 

-characters' facial expressions show power as they look serious 

 BRIDE AND PREJUDICE:

-Bollywood element as it uses star power of Bollywood actors to target a South Asian Bollywood audience- teenagers and young adults due to genre

-Shows main characters as hero and princess- a couple - romance genre

-facial expressions of characters- both smiling showing that it's a happy and positive film and it links to comedy genre

-bright colour scheme again shows the positive mood of the film and connotes comedy

-traditional temple building in the background shows there may be a religious and cultural setting and expresses Bollywood culture

MILLION DOLLAR BABY:

-main character/protagonist is a woman - subverts traditional gender stereotypes

-very dark colour scheme - mostly black- connotes a sense of horror genre or maybe crime as the title of the film is 'million dollar baby' - hybrid genre film 

-characters behind her are seen to be lurking in the shadows (almost non-existent but still there-portrays a ghostly image- horror genre) and they may be the antagonists or the villains as the girl may be the heroine which subverts traditional gender roles and stereotypes surrounding women

-target audience may only be adults as a dark film may bore children and may be interesting for an 18+ audience who may be interested in horror crime films

-black and white (writing) - binary opposition

-red writing might connote the imagery of blood as it is a convention of the crime and horror genre

-protagonist costume shows she is wearing gym clothes and her hair is tied back showing that she is determined and ready to fight?- enigma code
