-parallel images
-good contrast
-well chosen images
-good timing/ editing and tempo
-very good description-keywords
EBI:
-follow instructions: exporting and uploading etc.
2) Type up your feedback from fellow students - you can summarise key points if several students give you similar feedback.
WWW:

EBI:

-could add transitions between images
3) Now reflect on your work and write your own evaluation of your video. Write a 'What went well' (WWW) paragraph and a paragraph for 'Even Better If' (EBI) underneath the rest of your feedback.

WWW: I believe that my usage of parallel and contrapuntal sound in this task was great due to the strong link in parallel images of pop art with the pop music and the contrapuntal images of darkness in black and white opposing this idea of pop and brightness. I also think the images in the montage were clearly timed within the editing and my description of my montage used a lot of keywords and media language.
EBI: I think apart from the issues that came with uploading the video, within the video itself I maybe could have used some of my own images or even added transition effects and animations between each of the images to make the montage run more smoother. I also should have double checked the video after uploading it to make sure the links fitted and were available to be seen in class.
4) Learner response: compare your own video against your evaluation of the top three videos in the class. Whose did you think was best and why? How could you have improved your own video?
I think the top 3 were Kaye's and Sanjivani's and also Tara's videos because they all had really great images/videos that were mostly their own and Kaye and Sanjivani's videos were edited greatly because they had good transitions between each of their images as well as a clear contrast between parallel and contrapuntal sound and images and so did Tara with her videos. I could have improved by adding smooth transitions as well to further emphasise the elegance behind the violin as part of the sound track.
5) Finally, what have you learned about the importance of sound to film and TV through this week's work?
I have learned that sound really sets the scene of a film as well as also creating a certain mood for the audiences to match and it sort of shapes the opinions that audiences set on scenes as well as characters who may be seen in the frame while the music is playing (non-diegetic sound) or even when the characters are speaking - their dialogue (diegetic sound) may help audience members to establish their opinions, judgements and first impressions on characters that they are watching. Voiceovers (non-diegetic sound) can also have an effect on audiences as they interpret what may happen in a scene and allow the people watching to see a different angle of the scene in which they may find other views or see another point of view. So, overall I think sound is one of the main key features in film and TV due to it's significance in influencing audiences decisions on their impressions of TV characters and scenes in film and TV.
